Prada is a contemporary house with an Italian know-how that links originality and elegance. On one hand, we find retro, futuristic, extravagant pieces with sequins and fur. On the other hand, the spirit of the femme fatale, sensual, in the air of time. Whether in ready-to-wear or accessories, Prada continues to modernize, being trendy and to create avant-garde looks.

Through a collaboration with stylists students, we had to build for this project, the collection plan SS23 of a chosen brand. We had to develop 2 themes and integrate the prospective trends spotted for SS23 by Peclers.

THE PROCESS

  • Analysis of the brand’s DNA and history, to have a better understanding of the brand we are designing for.

  • Selection of two prospective trends SS23 and development of the 2 themes of our collection.

  • Selection of the commercial pieces we need to design, which are the essential pieces that every client needs to have in their wardrobe and that will be sold more easily : suit jacket, hoodie, little black dress, shorts, jacket ... Each theme will be composed of several essentials that will be adapted for the theme.

THE COLLECTION PLAN

 
  • Making of the moodboards.

  • Design the collection.

  • Selection of the materials and the colors.

  • Establishment of the collection plan for each theme.

  • Establishment of the merchandised theme for each theme to make sure that a balance is provided within the offer proposed : the “essential products” and the “image products”, length and colors of garments.
